Teen Wise National Essay Contest Official Entry Form
The next book for publication will be titled I’ve Been Teen Wised!: The Testimonial Essays. This book will contain real-life personal essays from preteens and teenagers that depict the use of Self-Serving Strategies in a situation that may have otherwise been influenced negatively. However, negative experiences may also be considered if the entrant knew about the concept, but chose not to use it.
If you have experienced a positive outcome by practicing Self-Serving Strategies, or a negative result because you didn’t, and would like to submit an entry for consideration, please follow the official rules stated below:
Non-compliance with ALL of these rules will result in an automatic disqualification of your submission.
Qualifying participants will have read Teen Wise and be students in
the sixth through twelfth grade levels
at the time of entry submission.
Please use the following format:
Typed using 12 pt. Font only
Double Spaced
2 page minimum, 3 page maximum
No Staples or Folding
Use a small one inch GOLD Paperclip to fasten pages together
(Entries with YELLOW paper clips will be disqualified)
No Profanity or Swearing (use substitute words)
Mail Hard Copy in 9 x 12 envelope ONLY (Any Color)
Please answer ALL of the following questions in essay form. Please describe in detail.
For Positive Outcomes using Self-Serving Strategies Correctly:
